As in Spain in Argentina you can find La Rioja region which is not far from San Juan. Typical flavors are in their wines such as cedar, spicy tastes and strawberry. They have many visitors as well. Best known wine is a premium category red: Luca Pinot Noir.

More and more people knows a smaller region the Cafayate. It is a very developing are of the country. There were a lots of investments around there in the last few years. If you like white, choose Quarra Torrentes, but reds also great here like Quarra Tannat. Tannat is a special and rare grape around here.
